Oh god! I have been wanting to get this off my chest for a while. I don't get why my boyfriend's sister hates me. I mean, I never did anything wrong to her, never did anything bad to her and surely I have never even got a chance to make an acquaintance with her because she is so rude to me. Her brother, who is my boyfriend, and even his mother has had enough. I believe that maybe she is jealous because I might have "taken away" her brother from her but I have no clue what that means. Anyways, my brother used to be her friend but he says that nobody likes her and she acts like one of the Plastics from Mean Girls. I am very upset and her mom believes that I am a perfect role model for her but she won't listen. I mean, its not that I hate her but I am getting sick and tired of being cast as the villain just because I am dating her brother. She even tried to spread nasty rumors about me to break us up. Her mom was angry when she found out from my boyfriend. I need ur opinion, what can I do? I don't want to break up with my boyfriend of a year just because his sister is a total nutcase.

Just to let you all know, my birthday is next Friday and I will be turning 18! 18! I can't wait!!!

Something just recently came to my mind. Why is it that sometimes when a girl or a guy get into a relationship, there has to be a friend who hates the new boyfriend/girlfriend for no absolutely reason. That just pisses me off because

a) They don't know the person
b) They did nothing to you
c) see a and b

I had a friend who hated my boyfriend for no freaking reason and I would have love to know exactly why she hated him. Brian is a nice guy. I can think of two reasons why she might have hated him:

a) I am Hispanic and he is White
b) He is from Texas (he is southern) and I am from Maryland (a northerner)
c) She is jealous of my relationship being more open and too perfect (hey, we do argue)

Now my questions on this situation are:

1) Has something like this happen to you? (whether you hated a friend's boyfriend/girlfriend or a friend did it to you)

2) Why do YOU think she hates my boyfriend?

3) Should she try at least to get to know him or not consider her a true friend?

I am so f***ing confused. I don't know what to do. I mean, if you see Brian, you can see a very nice young man.
